Simon's background is in computers and marketing. Starting as a computer operations shift leader on Bull and IBM mainframes, he went on to work for eight years in the Programmes Group of companies working on telemarketing campaigns for IBM and HP, selling Olivetti and TI PC's in the early eighties, and being MD of a company providing software consultancy and competitive marketing consultancy to computer manufacturers and end users. In the late eighties, Simon was a pioneer of database marketing. Since 1989 he has been providing integrated telemarketing for clients ranging from a medical laser manufacturer to software houses.
